As I leave for my study abroad I am thinking of the many different situations and opportunities that lay ahead. I am so excited to go to another country, and one in Europe even, I know that the culture experience will be amazing for me. I imagine Spain to be a country rich with culture and history much different than I have ever seen before. I have never been out of the country so I am full of excitement, nervousness, and also questions about what it will be like to live and be part of another country and people. I imagine since were going to a smaller older city the lifestyle will be different, it will be not as fast paced and a more laid back atmosphere. I imagine getting around the city will be one of the hardest things for me since I am directionally challenged as it is. I am excited to live with another family and anxious to see the rules that are set out for me. I am hoping to expand my Spanish and be able to use it more often. I am nervous for the long flight, and anticipate many adventures and that I will make a fool of myself, but that is just part of the journey of this study abroad. I look forward to having the experience of a lifetime. Now off to sleep.....for a few hours before the journey begins
